dear, dear sarah,
i forgot about your "blog"
anyhow, i have one thing to say:
don't run away. enjoy your summer for what it is. recognize and appreciate this completely frustrating and bewildering time for what it is, because it won't be long before you won't be living a couple blocks from fenway park, where you can sit on your front stoop and look over at those ever-burning lights or hear those snatches of cheering (for a beloved team neither of us can afford to cheer on nearly enough.) or until you won't be able to hop on a train and dart around this amazing city, a large portion of which neither of us has come near to exploring.  or, until you won't be surrounded by this many young, vibrant, quirky, brilliant people, in a place so teeming with energy and life. or, until most your friendships are limited to phone calls and sporadic visits.
nothing's ideal right now, but most things are still great. we are both very lucky people to have had the experiences we have, and to be in the situations we're in. just try to remember that when you think about wishing it all away.
plus, we're all going to have to work until we're 80 anyway, why rush into it?
